Clean the lines after the grease trap is pumped
A typical maintenance visit starts after another company has pumped out the grease trap. We snake the trap's inlet and outlet lines to clear the piping on both sides. Pumping the trap removes what has collected in the trap; cleaning the connected lines addresses buildup in the pipes.
We do not pump grease traps. Schedule that work with your pumping company, then arrange our drain maintenance visit after the trap has been emptied. Keeping these two jobs coordinated gives us access to the lines that need cleaning.
Use hydro jetting for grease buildup
Grease sticks to the inside of kitchen drain lines and builds up as the kitchen works. We use hydro jetting when grease is in the line. It is our go-to method for restaurant and kitchen lines with grease buildup.
Most restaurants end up on hydro jetting every six months. We work out the maintenance schedule around the restaurant's drain use and the buildup we find. A busy kitchen and a lightly used line can need different attention.
Catch the small plumbing problems too
While we are there, we look over the restaurant's visible, accessible plumbing. A dripping connection, wet area under a sink or another small problem is easier to address before it interrupts the kitchen. We point out what needs attention and discuss the repair.
Common questions
Do you pump out grease traps?
No. Another company handles pumping. We clean the inlet and outlet lines after the trap has been pumped.
How often do restaurants need hydro jetting?
Most restaurants end up on a six-month schedule. We adjust the plan to the kitchen and the grease buildup.
Can we call about a backup between visits?
Yes. We take emergency calls 24/7 and offer same-day service for drain problems.
